Have you ever wondered what we could do to prevent heart cancer? Well now there is a way that will help slow down cancer. In this ted talk the class was informed of certain food items that will aid in the slowing down of cancer and the accumulation of blood vessels. The ted talk explained that certain antiangeogenic foods will help lower the rate of blood vessel growth. This allows for the dangerous types of cancer to be limited by restricting its access to blood vessels
Have you ever heard of someone who has been convicted wrongfully and has been released due to DNA evidence, this is what is called exoneration. Through out the course of this assignment i learned that an opinion can be asserted on an eye witness so that said witness will wrongfully identify a different suspect. through out many years police investigations have been relying on eyewitness identification to catch their suspects but recently the police have been able to use DNA to identify the correct sus
Is it really possible that something that makes you the happiest could help your health? well despite what i had believed prior to this reading i didn't believe it. in the reading it explained how a college had tested it's students under the theory that laughter can help to improve your immune system. I had really connected to this reading because i used to laugh a lot when i was younger and was rarely home sick from school.
Lucy had started out to be a lab experiment thought up between husband and wife, but she started to mean so much more to them. she was a chimpanzee brought into a human home to be socialized among humans she learned many signs she was dressing her self at an early age and could make her self tea and other concoctions.
The pod cast was about a few different parts in Lucy's life starting with her as a baby, teaching her to dress her self and make her self food and beverages. Later in the firs part it goes on to tell us how Lucy begin to lie and feel human emotions/desires. In the second part it tells us about Lucy's reintroduction to chimps and her socialization to them. The last part tells us how local poachers had killed her because of her human socialization when she had willingly came up to them. Lucy taught us that chimps can develop differently due to the influences in their life and have the capability to think similar to us Lucy taught us that we are not the only beings that can become advanced Chimps are no longer just are wild animals to me they are also advanced beings I believe that the experiment is worthwhile for knowledgeI think that poachers killed her |
