essential question
The things that make for an engaging book cover are, having a specific theme that matches the theme of the story to tell your reader of the book's mood. In some to most cases less is more. Meaning that when you have a simple cover it could mean some thing more in depth and personal. This cover should be able to catch the reader's eye and have them take the book off the shelf and read it. Finally the quality should be reflective of the writing inside.
Art is a vehicle for communication in many ways because those who could be hearing impaired would be able to share the same experiences. Also, it allows people a subject to talk about and in turn communicate. Art is able to in a sense get the ball rolling for communication. You could also chose art as a medium to express certain feelings about your life or another. The extent of the viewers ideas about your piece of art is different from topic to topic. In a book cover the extent is the entirety of the piece while a painting would not be as much. This is because although many people tell you not to you still judge a book by it's cover while a painting is to express how you feel and not necessarily to interest a viewer. |
