Spanish Skit
The Spanish Travel Skit project consisted of a group of people who were given a set of word that they were required to use and then were given almost free reign on what they wanted to do. My group was given the transportation words and some of the cultural research we conducted was based on prices of certain transportation vehicles and what different companies are in the countries we visited. We had to study some of our words so that we could find the right conjugations of our word and that we might understand what context the words would be used in. While we were writing and refining our Skit we went through some challenges and worked with Janae to improve our Skit. The memorization of the Skit was not particularly difficult for me to remember but it made me nervous when we started our performance.
One good thing that came from this project was a better understanding of travel in foreign countries. Another bonus from this project was the ability to do research about another country and find out what I need to know about where I’m visiting. This project also helped me to understand that I do not need to know every word in a foreign language but merely a basic understanding will let you get along just fine. The project helped me to get travel ticket prices and do my own research for if I want to travel.
